NSTA is The Technology Association in Houston!
Motto:
Continuing the Vision
Honoring the Sacrifice
|
The destruction of the space shuttle Columbia on February 1, 2003 served as the backdrop to the creation of the National Space & Technology Association in April of that same year. Since October 1960 until the Columbia disaster, there have been 30 space exploration disasters recorded, claiming the lives of 22. Their commitment and sacrifice are reflected in this motto.
Mission:
Connecting the High-Tech Industry with the People it Impacts
|
NSTA is all about connections ... connecting businesses with businesses for the sake of doing business ... and connecting an industry to the general public for the sake of education and support. Through regularly scheduled events and special outreach programs, an industry that is designing and defining the future is better connected with the public at-large.
Purpose:
To host and produce world-class technology-oriented conferences, tradeshows, conventions and public exhibits exclusively in Houston
|
Houston is the home of America's astronauts and Mission Control. The Johnson Space Center in Clear Lake is considered to be the "nerve center" of the American Space Program. Energy Capital of the World. Medical Capital of the World. Consequently, Houston should have more technology-oriented convention traffic than it does. NSTA will make that happen.
Goal:
To make Houston a Global Showcase of Advancing Technology
|
The world is passing through the city via trade, transportation and tourism. Let them bring their new technologies to showcase here as well.
Focus:
Technology Touching People
|
Advancing technology is shaping our future and impacting our culture as it touches our lives. NSTA is committed to bringing closer focus on all the technological trends and issues surrounding that reality. From smart cars to smart clothes ... smart appliances to smart drugs ... from the death of distance to the world in our pocket!
